I was in pet supplies plus looking at their rabbit magazines, only to discover that I am in the popular pets rabbit one! They did a survey a few months ago and was passing it around on the yahoo breeder lists. I filled it out. But I didn't think it would make the magazine. They put the survey results together, and did an excellent article on the world of rabbit showing. My comment they included was under 'What judges look for.'|
"Basically, judges look for an animal that comes as close to the standard of perfection as possible," Said Janelle Dixon of Michigan, who has been showing rabbits since 1989, "They look for good type, balance, fur quality, no disqualifications, and the over all health of the animal. A well balanced animal with good type, coat, no disqualifications, and condition will usually do very well on the show table."
So ya'll gotta go buy that magazine! :P Its got some great information for all aspects of rabbit ownership. Or at least check it out.
